Today I am going to review Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick – Hooked On Pink which is the best selling lipstick in this range.

 Apply your lipcolor by starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

My Experience :

I have a huge tilt towards pink lipsticks and especially for the brand Maybelline. As they are pocket friendly and at the same time do not compromise with the quality. Well, honestly speaking I didn’t have very high expectations from a lipstick of this price range. But this one has surprised me and made me pick me more!!

Well, Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick comes in a silver lipstick bullet but the outer cover is dark pink in color. Its always easy to identify the lipsticks which are under the pink, red and brown family – as the whole cap is of same color. The lipstick bullet looks really attractive.

The texture of this lipstick is very creamy. It glides on smoothly on lips. It is very moisturising, one wouldn’t need to use a lip balm underneath. However, using a good lip balm underneath increases the staying power of the lipstick. It is highly pigmented – which is actually why I love this lipstick!! One swipe easily covers the pigmented lips. However, 2-3 swipes produce a beautiful color on your lips. It covers the pigmented lips very well. You can apply it directly and even you can use a lip brush to apply it. It imparts a beautiful pink color to your lips – which you’d definitely adore!! It brightens your face instantly!! Loveeeeeeeeee it for that!! 

Though its creamy and moisturising – it doesn’t feather or bleed! And it doesn’t even settle into fine lines. It has got that typical Maybelline fragrance – which I think all of us are familiar with. The packaging is quite sturdy and travel friendly.

The staying power is very impressive – it lasts for about 4-5 hours!! isn’t it great for a lipstick worth 350/-?? Even after fading, it doesn’t settle into fine lines and no color is left behind on lips. And if you pair it up over a lip balm – staying power gets increased by 1 more hour! However, it is transferable, which can be a disadvantage. But I really don’t mind it – coz its worth every penny u invest in it!!

You can use it alone or you can pair it with a clear gloss on it – which will give your lips a sexy pouty look!!

Cons of the Product :

1. It gets transferred very easily.
2. It survives light meals but intake of heavy meals completely swipes it off.

Overall,  Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Hooked On Pink is a beautiful pink color which would suit everyone! By everyone, I mean everyone!!!  It is highly pigmented and moisturising. It has got an impressive staying power of about 4-5 hours!! Go ahead, pick one and treat yourself from the amazing range of lipsticks from Maybelline!!
