My Experience :
I had an excessive liking towards Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balms so I bought all of them and will review them today. Here, we got :
  • NIVEA FRUITY SHINE – PINK GUAVA
  • NIVEA FRUITY SHINE – CHERRY
  • NIVEA FRUITY SHINE – STRAWBERRY
  • NIVEA FRUITY SHINE – POMEGRANATE
  • NIVEA VITAMIN SHAKE – CRANBERRY AND RASPBERRY
Well as far as Nivea Fruity Shine – Pink Guava is concerned, I had already reviewed it HERE
Coming to Nivea Fruity Shine – Cherry, this lip balm is quite dark in color by appearance than Nivea Fruity Shine – Pink Guava. But on application it is very light in color, it imparts the lightest color of raspberry pink which shows beautifully on your lips.Basically, all the Nivea Fruity Shine Lip balms impart a lighter color to the lips than they seem in the bullet. It makes lips quite moisturised and plumper by appearance, though it has got no ingredients which would plump the lips. I always have it with me as it gives a mild hint of pink color to the lips but gets completely disappeared from the lips after an hour of application. However, it shows well on both pigmented and non-pigmented lips.
Next, Nivea Fruity Shine – Strawberry is quite deep red in color by appearance but with application you can observe that it appears light red in color which shows beautifully on lips. But to attain the desired color, you need 3-4 swipes. This particular shade stays as a stain on lips even after it completely fades away from your lips. The quantity that this lip balm offers can easily last for a long time. You’d love the color as it shows well both on pigmented and non-pigmented lips.I’d recommend this to everyone!
Nivea Fruity Shine – Pomegranate looks deep maroon in color by appearance but on application you’ll find that it looks light pink with maroon undertones in it. However, this Pomegranate shade is quite smooth and the formula is somewhat buttery as it has got no shimmer particles in it.  It too shows up beautifully on lips, both on pigmented and non-pigmented lips. However, the lasting power is same as all the other Nivea Fruity Shine Lip balms i.e. about an hour. And it doesn’t impart any kind of stain to the lips when the lip balm fades away from your lips. I’d recommend this to everyone!!
Finally, the latest Nivea Vitamin Shake – Cranberry and Raspberry. After having a wonderful experience with all the Fruity Shine lip balms I bought this and was quite excited to try it out but all my excitements went away when I found that this lip balm (though fragrance is good) imparts a pale color to the lips. Its like as if your lips had gone through lip discoloration!! The staying power is same i.e. for 1 hour and I can’t even use it at night as a night lip balm. It is so disappointing. I’d not recommend this to anyone. However, if the color doesn’t bother you i.e. the pale color that it imparts to the lips, then you can go for it.
You can see in the pics, how yummy it looks in the bullet!! Quite Deceiving!!
Pros of the Product :
  1. All the Nivea lip balms contain SPF 15.
  2. These lip balms are quite cheap.
  3. 2-3 swipes build up a desired color on your lips, except Nivea Vitamin Shake – Cranberry and Raspberry.
  4. All the shades i.e. Cherry, Pink Guava, Strawberry and Pomegranate would suit everyone.
  5. The color that Nivea Fruity shine lip balms impart, shows up well on both pigmented and non-pigmented lips. except Cranberry and Raspberry shade, as it imparts a pale color to the lips.
  6. Strawberry shade leaves a beautiful stain even after completely disappearing from the lips.
Cons of the Product :
  1. Staying power is less i.e. for about 1 hour.
  2. Nivea Vitamin Shake Cranberry and Raspberry doesn’t show up well on lips, rather it imparts a pale color to the lips.
Apart from these I don’t have any problem with Nivea Lip balms.
Final Verdict : Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balms are very good tinted lip balms which are reasonably priced. they contain SPF 15 which is an additional factor. All of them are quite moisturising on application however, they last only upto 1 hour of application. Except Nivea Vitamin Shake Cranberry and Raspberry, all the other Fruity Shine range show up well both on pigmented and non-pigmented lips. A must try!! I would recommend these to everyone!!
Rating : 4/5
P.S. On lips all the lip balms look almost same, so I didn’t swath them on my lips as it is very difficult to identify the differences.
Please comment below and let me know, which Nivea Lip Balm is your favourite one! :D :D
