After a loooong gap of almost one month, I am back to review a very good product from Maybelline i.e. Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Gloss in Hooked on Pink.

My Experience :

I am a type of person who has gt keen interest for lip glosses more than lipsticks. And when we come to lip glosses, we do have lots of options but we hardly find good and perfect lip glosses, isn’t it? Perfect as in– it should have good staying power, the color should suit you, it should be well pigmented (as most of us have got quite a bit pigmented lips, so we’d naturally opt for a well pigmented lip gloss) ,it should show up pretty well on your lips whether you’ve got pigmented or non-pigmented lips. I know everybody would agree to all the above stated features of a lip gloss. Here I introduce the lip gloss from Maybelline which is almost a perfect lip gloss!!!!

Well, Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Gloss comes in a sleek bottle , which is cuboidal in shape with a silver cap. Seriously speaking, the package looks quite attractive and classy that you’d love to own one! You gotta unscrew the cap to get the wand out, thank God that it doesn’t consist of brush like applicator!! The applicator picks up the right amount of gloss for your lips. However, you still need to dip it twice for both of your upper and lower lips. The packaging is quite sturdy and travel friendly. No product spillage is observed even in rough conditions,which is an added bonus to it. On the base of the bottle, the name and number of the shade is stuck on with a sticker. And on one of the sides of the bottle, you’d find the price, manufacturing date and expiry date of the product.

Now, coming to the shade “Hooked on Pink” it is a pretty pink color which would suit everyone, irrespective of criterias like skin tone, pigmented/non-pigmented lips, etc. The doe applicator picks up perfect amount of gloss for your lips, which you can dab on to your lips. This gloss is quite creamy in texture and glides on smoothly on your lips, giving your lips a healthy pink color, which I bet everyone would adore it!! It gives a plump look to your lips, though there is no such ingredient in the list which would plump your lips. It is super moisturizing for your lips, I personally have dry lips and I tend to apply lip balm as a base coat and then only I put on lipsticks but with this creamy gloss, I need not apply any lip balm as its so moisturizing for my lips. Its quite non-sticky and light on lips, which is also a very good attribute of this lip gloss.

It doesn’t get transferred easily to other objects when in contact, though we can still find mild stains on objects when in contact (which is almost negligible!) Since it is so creamy, it does tend to bleed a bit when a lot of product is dabbed on lips. The finish of this gloss is somewhere in between matte and super glossy look.Though it contains very very fine shimmer particles, it doesn’t look OTT at all, rather it tends to give a plumper 3D look to your lips. The shimmer particles are too minute and can be only observed if you observe it very keenly. It doesn’t settle into fine lines after fading. It has got a mild fruity fragrance which would almost make you lick it!! But the fragrance fades away after few minutes of application. The pigmentation of this lip gloss is excellent as it covers pigmented lips beautifully. You need 1-2 swipes of this product on your lips. To build intense color, you may apply 2-3 swipes. The staying power is almost about 3-3.5 hours!! Isn’t it amazing? For the price, I feel it is more than worth it!! What say girls??????

Final Verdict : Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Gloss in Hooked on Pink is a beautiful shade which would suit everyone! This particular shade gives a healthy pink color to your lips and it has got excellent pigmentation which means that it shows well on both pigmented and non-pigmented lips. It has got super moisturizing formula and an impressive staying power of about 3-3.5 hours. However, it doesn’t survive heavy meals. It tends to make your lips plumper by appearance!
