Today I am going to review Fabindia Neem Tulsi Face and Body Gel Scrub.

Directions for use :

Apply a scoop of the scrub to wet skin and gently massage all over the body in circular motion, focussing on rough skin areas. Rinse and clean thoroughly.

Ingredients :

Purified water, Propylene Glycol, Walnut Shell Powder, Carbopol 940, Aloe Vera Extract, Neem leaves, Phenoxyethanol, Lactic Acid, Tulsi oil, Allantoin, Neem Oil.

Special Instructions :

Natural Ingredients may cloud or separate, this does not affect the quality or efficacy of the product. 

My Experience :

I am always into different, skin-friendly scrubs as each one has got its own scrubbing efficiency along with pleasant aroma and other skin brightening properties. I bought this scrub as I was totally satisfied with Fabindia’s Vitamin – E De Pigmentation Cream. So I thought of trying out its gel scrub. Since I always try out new scrubs, I bought Fabindia Neem Tulsi Face and Body Gel Scrub.

Fabindia Neem Tulsi Face and Body Gel Scrub comes in the traditional Fabindia jar with a screw cap. It is wide-mouthed, so that the product required can be easily scooped out of the jar. The jar is quite breakable. This gel is quit greenish in color with very fine white colored scrubbing particles along with few tulsi leaves – which still look green in color in it. The aroma of it is quite strong, its of Basil or Tulsi.

For usage, I washed my face with water and on wet face, I applied a pae-sized amount of this gel on my t-zone area (which tends to be my blackhead prone area) and started scrubbing it slowly in circular direction around it. It is quite cool and refreshing! While scrubbing, I noticed that those white colored scrubbing particles are quite effective on my blackheads. After scrubbing, I kept it for about 2 minutes on my face and then I washed it away. From the first use itself I was quite impressed by its effective blackhead clearing ability and it even added a soft glow to my face-which however, lasted only for few minutes. But the exfoliating action was superb! Since it has got all the herbal ingredients, I use it daily for about 2-3 weeks and was quite happy with its results. I love the way it adds that soft glow to my face! I follow up with a light moisturizer/essence after toning up my skin with a toner on my face. But when I used it on my body, I didn’t find it effective enough as on body I use a bit bigger granules with better exfoliating properties. However, it worked excellent on my face!

It is a treat during the summer season. I love the refreshing fragrance of this gel. It would suit all types of skin and would not cause any type  of side-effects. You’d love it!

Pros of the Product :

1. It is a very effective scrub – it scrubs of both blackheads and whiteheads from your face.
2. It is cost effective.
3. Large in quantity – one tub easily lasts for 2-3 months, depending upon the amount used.
4. It is suitable for all types of skin.
5. It has got a refreshing fragrance of Basil/Tulsi.
6. The tub is sturdy and travel friendly but seems quite breakable.
7. It adds a soft glow to your face.
8. It consists of essential natural ingredients which work well on all types of skin.
9. I doesn’t dry out your skin after scrubbing it, however I follow up with a light moisturiser.
10. It has got no side effects. You can use it easily everyday and then can decrease it and use it on alternate days.

Cons of the Product :

1. Since it comes in a tub packaging, it is not hygienic enough for use. However, if you use a clean spatula for that, this con can be eradicated.

Apart from this, I don’t find any con associated with it.

Final Verdict : Fabindia Neem Tulsi Face and Body Gel Scrub is a very effective scrub for removing blackheads and whiteheads from your face. It adds a soft glow to your face after using it. It has got a refreshing fragrance of Basil/Tulsi. It doesn’t dry out your skin after scrubbing with it. It is suitable for all types of skin. I’d recommend this to everyone!!
